| A COUPLE of milder days midweek provided the window of opportunity for Barry Walkden to land the River Monston's first salmon of 2001. At 9.5lb it came to, what else, but a Yellow Belly Devon in the Estuary Beat. It's great to see January salmon in the Ness system. I believe there was another fish off the Garry last week but I haven't been able to confirm this yet.
