Diagram 12 Prepare an orange cock hackle and pull of the fluff at the base. Tie in at the head and pull the fibres forwards to double them in a V shape. Wind this round the hook three or four times and tie of drawing the fibres forwards to lie as shown. Finish off by forming a nicely shaped head and varnish red.
